Data

MPET Connect is meant to display MPET’s operational data. If you choose to register to MPET Connect, you will have a one-way connection to the MPET Connect data. On top of that, team MPET Connect is building applications to further optimise shared operations, by combining your data with MPET’s data. Only in situations as such, your data will flow to MPET where it is used only for that specific application. Your data will never be used for other causes.

Container information can be found by anyone who has a validated account for MPET Connect and is in possession of the corresponding search criteria (container number/booking number).

The container data on the platform refreshes every 30 minutes. Which means that regardless of the product your company uses (website/API), data is utmost 30 minutes old. The data and time of the latest refresh can be found in on top of the table on the page. The vessel data on the platform refreshes daily around 16h.

Generally spoken, container data is available when a container has physically entered MPET’s yard or when it is announced further in advance. Vessel data normally appears on MPET Connect 30 days before ETA. The Yard Opening Times (YOT) are set each day at 16:00 for the next seven days to come.

The meaning of the data fields can be found under ‘data elements’.

MPET Connect is a dedicated platform for operational data of the MSC PSA European Terminal. An account on MPET Connect will only provide you with data from MPET and thus not from other PSA or TIL/MSC terminals.

MPET Connect provides data on all vessels visiting MPET. Thus, vessels of other shipping lines visiting MPET can be found as well.

MPET Connect provides data on all vessels visiting MPET. MSC vessels that do not visit MPET do not appear on the platform.

There are no other terminals connected to MPET Connect. Only MPET related data can be accessed through the MPET Connect platform.

IT

MPET Connect offers system integrations as well as a website. If your system does not have the possibility to integrate with MPET through an API connection, you can use the website.

MPET Connect exists completely apart from E-Portal and does not replace the services of E-Portal. MPET Connect serves as an additional source for data.

MPET Connect is about creating win-win situations together with the community. Thus, for now, all products are offered to the community free of charge.

A statement that is made frequently is that it is often challenging to receive accurate data from the right parties in the community. By offering a central platform with operational MPET data, a first step is made in making MPET’s operations more transparent. That way, different parties are supported in optimizing their processes and working collaboratively.

At this moment, MPET Connect does not offer an email notification system. If you want to stay updated on your containers, you can use the label feature on the website. Feedback on MPET Connect or ideas about new features are always welcome.

MPET Connect focuses on making information that is already present at MPET, accessible through a central platform. MPET Connect is free of charge and data will not be used for other purposes than applications within MPET Connect. MPET Connect is a data viewer and will not attack your business model.
